TREASURY SAVINGS BONDS IN THE STRUCTURE OF HOUSEHOLDS FINANCIAL ASSETS IN POLAND

Abstract

The paper focuses no the treasury savings bonds in Poland. The purpose of the article is to analyse the development of this market and to study the share of these instruments in the structure of households financial assets in the years 2010 – 2021. The research was based on the selected literature of the subject and publicly available data sources from the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Poland. In the work the analysis of primary and secondary data (desk research) and the study of the selected literature were used. The conducted research significantly proves the very dynamic development of the treasury savings bonds in Poland over the last dozen years. However, the importance of these instruments on the financial market in our state is still limited and their share in the structure of households financial assets fluctuate on a low level. The article is the result of individual and original research, reflecting the author’s scientific interests. According to his best knowledge there is a lack of these type of studies on the publishing market in Poland.
