Summary
The interest in high-risk capital has contributed to change in business angels
market, including in particular dymanic development of networks. Their main
tasks include associating investors with entrepreneurs and undertaking actions
to popularize this form of financing of innovative projects. Significant growth
of business angels networks was a response to the requirements of both the
individual investors, who planned investments in high-risk projects as well as
small and medium enterprises looking for ways of financing the early stage of
development.
This article presents the development of business angels market in Europe, their
quantity, performed tasks, value of investments made by business angels and
their investment preferences.
