THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF CIVIC EDUCATION IN THE JOHN MILBANK’S THOUGHT

The article presents the foundations of John Milbank's thoughts with regard to the issue of a new vision of education of citizens to live in the state. As part of the text, the theoretical foundations of Milbank's reflection were discussed with particular emphasis on the critique of modern intellectual trends and the appreciation of theology as a basis for the social theory. As a result, there were conceptualized the foundations of the vision of Christian paideia as it is understood by the main representative of the Radical Orthodoxy.
